I told how I&#8217;d worked on an essay that got rejected countless times before it found its form and its home.<\/p>\n<p>That essay has now appeared in the journal <em>Feminist Formations<\/em>, in an issue about the body.<\/p>\n<p>Called &#8220;Pregnant Pause: On Ona \u0160imait\u0117, Research, Writing, and Motherhood,&#8221; my essay explores the riddle of being a writer and a mother.
